Overview
Constructed on a fast-track, 14-month schedule, the 440,000 square foot, four-story office building has a cast-in-place concrete, wide module frame. Because of the condensed construction schedule, the design of portions of the concrete floor system were controlled by the construction phase loads, which were greater than the service live loads. This allowed other trades to move in and start work with only one floor of re-shoring. High early strength concrete, self-supporting pour strips, partial post-tensioning portable batch plant, and a can-do approach by the design team also helped to complete the project on time.
