Overview
Situated on a triangular lot adjacent to railroad lines, Avidor Evanston is a new 17-story, 169-unit residential tower for active seniors. The first floor accommodates lobby, restaurant, and back of house spaces, as well as an entrance leading to the 50,000 square foot, 137-vehicle parking garage that occupies levels 2 and 3. Residential units totaling 190,000 square feet comprise levels 4-16. Residential floor plates step in and out over the height of the tower to create architectural interest. Level 17 features a swimming pool, outdoor terrace, and other amenities. The primary structural system for the project is cast-in-place post-tensioned concrete with cast-in-place concrete shear walls for resisting lateral forces. The building sits on a belled caisson deep foundation system.
