Overview
Edgewater is a retirement community featuring independent living, assisted living, adult day services, nursing care, and separate townhome living. The buildings, which are constructed primarily of wood, are situated on a fifty acre site and include approximately 361,000 square feet of floor space. The five independent living wings comprise three- and four-story residences with below grade parking, using precast concrete plank supported by precast concrete beams and columns on the first level to support wood framing at the upper levels. Similarly, the two-story assisted living wings use wood framing with slab on grade floor at the first level. The project also features a wood-framed porte chochere, which leads into the commons area uniting all the wings.
