Overview

Meyer Borgman Johnson provided steel connection design for the primary structure of the new 35-gate Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY) terminal. MBJ also provided delegated framing design and connection design of the curtain wall support systems to meet serviceability, strength, and architectural requirements provided by the design team. Design included girts, hanger rods, springs, and embeds to concrete columns along with their connections to the primary structure. MBJ coordinated with the design team and steel fabricator to provide an effective and economical system.
