Dan Murphy presents at NASCC
March 19, 2019 — Dan Murphy, PE, CEO and senior principal of Meyer Borgman Johnson (MBJ), will be speaking at the upcoming NASCC Conference on Wednesday, April 3 in St. Louis, MO. The topic of his presentation is “Ethical Cultures of High-Performance Organizations.” Ethical breaches are reported daily in the media, and design and construction professionals face challenges of operating ethically every day. The educational session will explore the basics of ethical behavior and the benefits that can be enjoyed by individuals and firms that develop a strong ethical culture.
NASCC: The Steel Conference offers more than 140 educational sessions and is the premier educational and networking event for the structural steel industry, bringing together structural engineers, structural steel fabricators, erectors, detailers, and architects.

Dan has over 40 years of experience as a structural engineer encompassing a broad range of structural design systems, materials, and delivery methods. A principal of MBJ since 1982 and a licensed professional engineer in 20 states, Dan has led some of the firm’s largest and most complex projects including the Kraus-Anderson Block Development and University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital, both in Minneapolis, MN, multiple office buildings, hotels, and residential towers, including the 41-story Alia tower currently in design. He is a past National Director of the American Council of Engineering Companies, past President of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Minnesota and a past board member of ACE Mentor Program of America.
