Overview

This U.S. land port of entry project consists of three buildings totaling approximately 41,000 square feet. MBJ provided structural design services that included determination of structural systems and structure layout of the facility. Structural features include long span canopies that provide shelter between buildings and roofs designed to withstand loads based on an annual snowfall of 110 inches per year. The process of delivery for this project is design-build-bridging, which requires strict adherence to schedule and thorough documentation. The project aspires to meet GSA Design Excellence and LEED Silver criteria.
