Project Highlights
- Cast-in-place concrete with moment or rigid frame
- 40-foot spans between post-tensioned beams
- Designed to withstand F-3 tornado
Overview
MBJ provided full structural engineering services for Wells Fargo’s data center. The 144,000 square foot building is a mostly one-story, cast-in-place concrete structure with a moment or rigid frame, with one-fifth of the footprint reaching two stories and similarly framed. The floor and roof decks are framed with wide module post-tensioned joists, which span 40 feet between the post-tensioned beams. The entire structure is designed to withstand wind speeds of 155 miles per hour, speeds that are associated with an F-3 tornado.
