Hoffman Presents Steel Day Webinar

9/7/2011 – As part of this year’s AISC-sponsored Steel Day celebration on September 23, firm principal Jerod Hoffman, PE, will be reaching out to a national audience via a webinar on steel joist procurement using an integrated project delivery (IPD) process. He will discuss a revolutionary BIM-enabled improvement to the joist and steel procurement process that maintains a hard bid and reduces the time period between bid and installation. Points covered during the webinar will include tools used, schedule, and coordination among the team disciplines. Using project examples, he will elaborate on the use of IPD to significantly reduce the time from award of joist package to return of approved shop drawings and calculations and demonstrate how accurate joist information has enabled MBJ to identify and resolve design issues.
