Position: Preservation or Conservation Structural Engineer
Office: Minneapolis, Minnesota (relocation expenses negotiable)
Immediately Available: Full-time position with benefits; salary commensurate with experience level and skill set
Opportunity and Requirements: This position is for a licensed professional structural engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the assessment, analysis, and rehabilitation of existing buildings. Applicants with experience evaluating and restoring historically significant buildings will be given additional consideration.
Requirements:
-B.S. in Civil Engineering, or B.S. in Structural Engineering. Additional consideration given to M.S. Civil or Structural Engineering or preservation-related fields (such as architecture or history)
-Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
-Experience preparing contract documents (reports, drawings, and specifications) for the restoration of existing structures
-Experience with construction site observation to verify compliance with construction documents
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Additional consideration given to facade evaluation experience
-Additional consideration given to leadership in local or national preservation-related professional groups
