Description: Paloma Kyrene Business Community is a mixed-use development in an emerging area of Chandler. The project is composed of twelve one-story masonry buildings totaling approximately 70,000 square feet of office, retail, and restaurants as well as two one-story office warehouse buildings totaling approximately 110,000 square feet. The mixed-use buildings feature load-bearing masonry walls, pre-manufactured wood joists, and a wood roof. The larger office warehouse buildings use interior structural steel columns, girders, steel joists, and concrete tilt-up wall panels.

Description: Bell Mar is a mixed-use suburban development with 54,000 square feet of retail and office space incorporated in three linked buildings. An upscale style sets the tone for the two-story office building, which contributes 18,000 square feet, and the retail component comprising two one-story buildings with 36,000 square feet of space for shops and restaurants. All three buildings are constructed using load-bearing masonry, structural steel members, and structural steel joists.

Description: Grande Market Place is a mixed-use facility that includes 113 residential units, underground parking, and over 36,000 square feet of retail and office space. Precast bearing walls were utilized in the retail portions of the project to create 24-foot first floor story height, providing space for future mezzanines as needed by tenants.

Description: Located in the historic Mills District of Minneapolis, Depot Office Center incorporates office, restaurant, and other retail in a newly constructed four-story building. The exterior entrance approach is recessed the full height of the building and leads into a vaulted lobby surrounded by large windows. Structural systems for the building include braced steel framing and composite metal deck. Directly behind, and partially tucked beneath, the building sits a three-level precast concrete parking ramp.

Description: Located in historic downtown Wayzata, this 3-story mixed-use complex houses 30,000 square feet of office and retail space. MBJ's contribution to the success of this building included the use of Geopiers in response to poor soil conditions at the site and the design of an offset footing to meet the requirements of a zero lot line. Structural materials are precast plank on steel framing and a combination of precast exterior wall panels and brick cladding on steel stud.

Description: Falcon Center Retail Plaza is a commercial retail development located in a high-traffic shopping district. Consisting of three separate buildings totaling 13,000 square feet, this project features a drive-through coffee shop, a retail building, and a drive-through financial institution. The buildings are constructed using load-bearing masonry walls, manufactured wood joists, and a wood roof. Unique features such as trellis-style canopies and large parapets were built using structural steel members.
