Description: This eight-story, 15-unit luxury condominium building overlooks downtown Minneapolis and the Walker Art Center Sculpture Garden. The top floor is a penthouse suite; remaining floors each contain two suites. The building is primarily constructed of cast-in-place concrete with cantilevered canopies and roof elements and a custom floor-to-floor curtainwall system.

Description: Located along the Mississippi River near the historic Stone Arch Bridge, this 340,000 square foot urban residential project features two nearly identical buildings, each wood-frame structures over two levels of precast concrete parking. Together they contain 236 loft style units. To reduce noise between floors, 9-inch trusses were used to accommodate special sound-insultating strips placed between floor and ceiling. The transfer floor and upper level parking are constructed using precast plank beams and columns.

Description: Grande Market Place is a mixed-use facility that includes 113 residential units, underground parking, and over 36,000 square feet of retail and office space. Precast bearing walls were utilized in the retail portions of the project to create 24-foot first floor story height, providing space for future mezzanines as needed by tenants.

Description: Located in the historic mills district of Minneapolis, this four-story housing structure consists of 22 townhomes, each two-levels with garages and rooftop terraces. Individual units range in size from 1,480 to 2,100. Construction materials include wood, precast concrete, and reinforced masonry.

Description: Riverview at Upper Landing is a residential development on the banks of the Mississippi River in St. Paul. Blocks 5 and 6 of the complex comprise 207,000 square feet of apartments as two identical four-story buildings of wood-frame construction with steel-framed balconies at levels 2 through 4. Residential units stack so bearing elements align at all levels. Foundations consist of conventional spread footings. First floors are precast concrete plank supported by precast concrete beams and columns. Beneath the buildings is one level of concrete slab and masonry parking.


> GUSTAVUS ADOLPHUS INTERNATIONAL CENTER

Description: The Carlson International Center features two student residences housing a total of 80 students. The four-story Crossroads building with a 70-student capacity is constructed with precast plank and reinforced masonry bearing walls. Underground, a partial basement provides space for mechanical rooms and access to a pedestrian tunnel that links to the adjacent Odin Hall classroom building. Structural components of the smaller, 10-student Swedish House include precast hollow core plank floors, wood-framed roof, masonry bearing walls, and precast concrete beams and columns.


> WARTBURG COLLEGE TOWN HOMES

Description: Approximately 100 students are housed in these newly constructed wood-framed town homes. The complex comprises five buildings that are each two to three stories high. Strong architectural elements, such as steep roof trusses and porch canopies, draw on the traditional German-style architecture of existing campus buildings.
